What is a Shimz?

Shimz is a term we for­mu­lated espe­cially for all the mem­bers of The Shimmer Network. It can be male or female. The plural form is still Shimz.

How to become a Shimz?

To become one, sign up on the Network's site, which is cur­rently hosted through Ning.

What is a Super Shimz?

Super Shimz is a “super­in­ten­dent” Shimz, known for his/her keen eyes and/or skill­ful hands. Super Shimz are respon­si­ble for try­ing out and review­ing the prod­ucts Myshimmer.com sent them. They would also, from time to time, cre­ate tuto­ri­als that help Shimz and other Super Shimz nav­i­gate through the mar­vel­lous world of beauty and tech­nol­ogy. How to become a Super Shimz?

To be con­sid­ered for a Super Shimz, you first have to fill out this form. You should already have web pres­ence, most prefer­ably a YouTube chan­nel with at least 500 sub­scribers, and have demon­strated your abil­ity to intel­li­gently dis­cuss, review, and rec­om­mend prod­ucts in your past video reviews. Who are Featured Shimz?

Featured Shimz are cho­sen peri­od­i­cally based on the activ­i­ties on Myshimmer.com, The Shimmer Network, and other are­nas on and off the web. They are also cho­sen to rep­re­sent the dynamic mix of Shimz we have. So just be yourself.

What are the Fun Awards?

They are awards cre­ated for fun!! Shimz and groups are selected based on their activ­i­ties on The Shimmer Network. The cur­rent cat­e­gories are:

• Most Talkative Shimz – most num­ber of posts in forums
• Most Photogenic Shimz — most num­ber of pic­tures of Shimz
• Most Quotalicious Shimz — most num­ber of pic­tures with quotes
• Most Popular Group — most num­ber of members

How to become a guest writer?

Guest writ­ers are writ­ers we invited to write arti­cles for our site. It is mostly through invi­ta­tion. However, if you are already a Shimz, you may sub­mit arti­cles to be con­sid­ered. Please con­tact Mini Me for details on how to sub­mit a post.

   I love this gloss too! Not men­tioned in the review is the great tex­ture– super satin-like not sticky and it feels cool when you put it on.

      I can only imag­ine. That must be what my mom feels like when my baby brother allow me to do his hair­cut when we were very lit­tle. My mom views my brother’s act an act of hero­ism. Or stu­pid­ity. hehe

    He’s 9 and she’s 6. I think he likes the tasty lip gloss. The boys (other one is 11) are great with her. She wor­ships them but tor­ments them SO much. She is quite the lit­tle devil!

    Hmmmmmm.… This may or may not be a funny story. My daugh­ter loves lip gloss. When we went shop­ping we always bought lip gloss, chap­stick. Well, when we moved a few years back, I found 98 lip glosses in her room. This may not be that funny…LOL..@jacqgrif. Thank You…

      That’s funny:) Speaking of lip gloss, my daugh­ter used to eat hers. She got a free one from American Eagle one time when she was 4 and by the time we got home she had slurped it all down! It was one of those squeeze tubes. She has finally stopped doing that, but now repeat­edly applies it and then licks her lips a mil­lion times. Sometimes I can’t really blame her.. the Lip Smackers has some that smell really good!

        OMG. I’m glad she turned out fine! Most lip­glosses con­tain chem­i­cals that are espe­cially dan­ger­ous to small chil­dren.

    I like those per­fumes. They have a nice, light fra­grance. Not as heavy as some of the other per­fumes around. My sense of smell is doing some­thing weird right now so any­thing with a hint of musk smells a bit like veet when it’s melt­ing leg hair. ^_^

She’s an amaz­ing singer, designer, cre­ator of the unique and ulta chic and a fan­tas­tic mother! She is an inspi­ra­tion to any­one who has dreams.
