MyShimmer is your concierge through the maze of thousands of new and emerging beauty products from all over the world.
Since early 2009, Editors of MyShimmer.com has actively reached out to the beauty companies all over the world to get coverage of new and upcoming products that are often not even on the shelves yet. With our love for traveling, we constantly search for beauty products and beauty secrets across the globe that might just change your beauty world inside out.
Because of the nature of new and unreleased products, all of the products that our reviewers (Super Shimz) review, unless otherwise noted, are provided by the companies themselves. Be assured though, that our reviewers and test users that try out the products are valued for their honesty and integrity. They do not recieve compensation besides the products themselves. Unlike other sponsored reviews, you can trust ours to be on your camp. We are consumers too and we do this because we love it.
About the Shimmer Network
Although there are many social networking sites out there, there aren’t that many that focus on discovering beauty. We all have our Facebook accounts or blogs, but those accounts are filled with friends from work, from school, people we don’t know, and people who don’t really care what they put on their faces. Shimmer Network is created to answer this. Our goal is to unite women and men who are cosmetic conscious so they can help each other reap the best benefits of the beauty world. In the Shimmer Network, you can get the latest scoop of what’s some of the youtube gurus are up to, connect and stay in touch with your fans, and learn from and be inspired by other beauty bloggers.

Carrie grew up with a cell phone in her crib and trying every beauty product in the house and at the department store. She is an avid internet shopper and online researcher of facts and can dig up any information a particular product or claim by a beauty company. She has been blogging since the age of 14 and is your resource for finding the latest in health and beauty.

Christina graduated from UC Berkeley and started her major with a nutrition focus but ultimately made a living in Investments and Finance. With this money, she has been a natural beauty product tester since the age of 12 using products from health food stores in Mill Valley, California to every product found in a beauty department store. She has traveled to over 44 countries shopping and searching for beauty secrets from around the world. It’s a tough job but someone has to do it.
Emily is MyShimmer’s Editor in Chief. Emily grew up in Hong Kong using Japanese skin products (even though she can’t read any of the Japanese text on the bottle), she eats mostly fresh and natural foods and knows every online store to purchase every beauty product sold. From an early age, Emily was interested in beauty/fashion, internet and technology. It is an unlikely combo but Emily pulls it off. She can create an online community for women to share their love for beauty and show each other what new looks inspire them. At the same time, she meets beauty industry experts and video bloggers to bring you the latest in beauty products and tips before it hits the magazines. She finds the latest for you — whether it’s the products that celebrities use, products that really work, DIY home beauty for cheap, interview from an expert makeup artist or makeup tutorials from other beautiful women. She currently lives in Seattle, WA.

Great article I’ve just added to my bookmark list.
When I was young I had a terrible problem with acne. It caused me to have such low self esteem for a long time
I love this gloss too! Not mentioned in the review is the great texture– super satin-like not sticky and it feels cool when you put it on.
yea, i noticed that was missing too! we should have more review coming in but thanks for the supplement
I cant wait to see the new alice in wonderland movie 2010 when it comes out. I first heard about it being remade about a year ago and I was so excited and once I saw who the actors and actresses were going to be I was very happy. I think that
Of course, what a great site and informative posts, I will add backlink — bookmark this site? Regards, Reader.
No matter what anyone think, a french press is absolutely greater than any other style of coffee I’ve ever tasted. If you have any of time, take a look over to the guide we’ve written at frenchpresshowto.com. Thanks a lot for the post!
Nice post, I am sure to come bach again in future …
Good Job on the articles you have here, thank you for putting your time into it!
Yup, couldn’t agree more. And I’d like to add that you’ve got a great colour scheme on your site, I suffer with colour blindness and many webmasters don’t give us a second thought!

Sounds like a great contest!!
You know you might be a beauty junkie when you see a pair of shoes and think of a MAC eyeshadow That would go with it..
I can’t think of anything funny to say, but I am looking at something funny… my son has allowed my daughter to apply makeup to him. I am going to take a blackmail photo now.
I can only imagine. That must be what my mom feels like when my baby brother allow me to do his haircut when we were very little. My mom views my brother’s act an act of heroism. Or stupidity. hehe
how many years apart?
that’s sweet when they aren’t fighting
He’s 9 and she’s 6. I think he likes the tasty lip gloss. The boys (other one is 11) are great with her. She worships them but torments them SO much. She is quite the little devil!
Hmmmmmm.… This may or may not be a funny story. My daughter loves lip gloss. When we went shopping we always bought lip gloss, chapstick. Well, when we moved a few years back, I found 98 lip glosses in her room. This may not be that funny…LOL..@jacqgrif. Thank You…
it’s more like amazing. Not sure whether it’s more amazing that she collected that many or that you sat down and counted it. Anyway, you owe us all a photo proof.
That’s funny:) Speaking of lip gloss, my daughter used to eat hers. She got a free one from American Eagle one time when she was 4 and by the time we got home she had slurped it all down! It was one of those squeeze tubes. She has finally stopped doing that, but now repeatedly applies it and then licks her lips a million times. Sometimes I can’t really blame her.. the Lip Smackers has some that smell really good!
OMG. I’m glad she turned out fine! Most lipglosses contain chemicals that are especially dangerous to small children.

Thanks for the opportunity to enter your giveaway! Good luck everyone!
Did you purchase this or did the company send this to you? I’m so tempted to get this… it is just missing the angled eye brush which I don’t have.…
Kim purchased it herself. Perhaps try other kits? Or buy that separately
Yep, already decided to get the additional brush from Sephora or MAC. Prolly MAC.
I like those perfumes. They have a nice, light fragrance. Not as heavy as some of the other perfumes around. My sense of smell is doing something weird right now so anything with a hint of musk smells a bit like veet when it’s melting leg hair. ^_^
Would love her perfume. THrow my name in the hat .… and then just call me “random” ! Great giveaway contest! Good Luck All ~ @madly59 on twitter
Thanks for the contest!
Shining shimmering splendid! One gwen HL perfume please! Yahoo!

Ah, Deborah Lippmann Happy Birthday is on my wishlist for sure! What great glitters in there!
Hi there! I love anything that Gwen Stefani has put a hand in designing or creating! I think she is just fabulous, on so many levels! She’s an amazing singer, designer, creator of the unique and ulta chic and a fantastic mother! She is an inspiration to anyone who has dreams. I love to create new and unique looks for myself. It is important to me to have my own sense of style that helps to define who I am. I’d love a few new signature fragrances to kick off the Spring Season and that I can call my own. Thanks so much for the wonderful chance to enter.
I am also workin’ it for ya on twitter and tweeting, I’m @joannaonthelake

I’d love to say something witty or funny, but I’m suffering from the “mother” of all head colds and perfunctory will have to suffice today.
