Makeup at Ross?

from http://www.beautybag411.com – I was brows­ing through Ross the other day when I hap­pened to come across some shelves stocked with lotions and bath stuff. So I started sift­ing through some of the items and next thing I know, I’m look­ing at makeup! I didn’t even know Ross car­ried makeup! Granted, most of it was cheap generic stuff, but I did actu­ally see a few e.l.f. items, and then I found some Physician’s Formula Organic makeup and some ran­dom eye­shadow palettes by a com­pany called Profusion. The pack­ag­ing looked like it was from the eight­ies based on the model’s pic­ture, but it was only $5 so I bought it any­ways, along with a Physician’s Formula dual blush and bronzer and a lipgloss.

I have never used any­thing by Physician’s Formula, but I liked the pack­ag­ing and it was organic, so I thought I’d try it. The blush/bronzer comes with a dual sided com­pact, prod­uct on one side and a mir­ror and brush on the other.

Here is a swatch of the prod­uct. I like the col­ors, they are very nat­ural and barely has any shim­mer, which is good because most of the blushes I own do. However, and I don’t know if it just because it is organic or some­thing, but the for­mula smells so strong! Kind of like a card­board box, really musty or some­thing. It’s almost a lit­tle too much to handle…but know­ing me, I will prob­a­bly use it any­ways because I hate wast­ing things

This is the lip­gloss I got also, I actu­ally really like it, it doesn’t smell like the blush, thank good­ness, and it isn’t super sticky either. The color is just a light nat­ural pink. I haven’t really worn it yet so I don’t know how long it lasts

They had a cou­ple of palettes to choose from, but I liked this one the most, and even though they had a larger one, I didn’t want to get it in case I didn’t end up lik­ing it.  Now I wish I had though because I really like this! Although it claims to have 88 col­ors, it actu­ally looks like the col­ors are just repeated a cou­ple of times each! But I still like them, and they are actu­ally pretty pig­mented and go on eas­ily. All the col­ors have shim­mer though, but not disco ball shim­mer. These actu­ally smell really strong too, not like card­board, but really perfumey.

I guess it just goes to show you that you can find good bar­gains every­where if you keep your eyes open!
