Best Use of Color Makeup Tutorial: MissCheivous

MissCheivous makeup tutorial shows us how to create a mermaid makeup look for Halloween. Her use of all the beautiful greens and blue shades with all the sequences and pretty lips won our admiration.

This is MissCheivous Halloween Mermaid look.  It will be hard to get the sequences totally perfect on your face.  She paired the sequence with a lavender lip.  This is how you can be a mermaid for Halloween.

  • She uses a white eyeshadow in the center of her lid all the way up to the eyebrow and she can cover her eyebrows
  • Use bright blue (cosmic blue) on the inner corner and take it up
  • This doesn’t have to be perfect and try to make a shape going outwards
  • Grab blending brush MAC 217 to blend white in the middle with the inner blue
  • Take another brush and grab a Jade color eyeshadow into the crease to bring a bit of green into the eyeshadow mix
  • Take the eyeshadow brush to cover the fake brow with a little bit of blue eyeshadow
  • Take a smaller brush and blue flame MAC or any navy blue color and apply to the inner and outer corners
  • Blend this into the crease to give yourself a rounded eye shape
  • Apply the bright blue on the lower lashline
  • Grab more green to apply in the middle of your lower eyes
  • Add more color for a multi dimensional eye and blend all the colors
  • Take sequences (green, blue and aqua).  She bought at a craft store
  • She has Ben9 glitter glue and don’t GET THIS CLOSE to your eyes or lower lids
  • Your eyes will be watering
  • She drew guide on either side of her eyes and grabbed glue and apply on her upper eye
  • Wait for glue to dry
  • Use tweezers to place sequences on top of glue
  • Work fast before glue dries and fill in the shape you drew section by section
  • Place sequences when sticky
  • Add more glue if it dries too quickly
  • Use next color to fill in gap of next level of color such as green to create a fishlike mermaid look
  • She also applied the sequences on the side of her face
  • This takes a lot of time
  • Use MAC glitter transparent teal which has a reflection, put over the white eyeshadow to give a reflective touch
  • She is applying dark blue into her waterline
  • You can apply false blue lashes but she just puts mascara
  • She applied MAC lavender whip
  • Use MAC lipgloss in fierce which is a purple lipgloss
  • She is using transparent shimmer in the center
  • She uses her hair to cover the edge of her face

The makeup mermaid tutorial takes a long time and the sequences may fall off.  To remove, rub off sequences and they should remove it easily.
