How to Get Natural Long Eyelashes without using Latisse — the $35 solution

Can I also use the regular Bimatoprost 0.03% instead of Latisse?

Latisse is a diluted version of a glaucoma medicine called Bimatoprost. Bimatoprost was launched in 2002 by the makers of Botox and Latisse, Allergen Pharmacueticals.   About 1,800 people worldwide have been exposed to Bimatoprost in clinical trials.  Allergen used the clinical data from Bimatoprost to gain FDA approval for Latisse — i.e. the two are essential the same product, except for Latisse you are also paying over $130 which will cover the packaging and massive marketing Allergen has been investing in, while for $35 you get a plain, generic version of the same products, with a different name (Lumigen) but the same effects.

Possible side effects
This product reduces the pressure in your eyes and used mostly by older patients.  Reduced pressure in the eyes may permanently alter your vision but no one knows the long (over 10 years) affects of such products.

Many dermatologists and doctors agree that Latisse and Bimatoprost are similar medicine so it is up to you and Allergen will not promote this usage but you probably can use either product.  Bimatoprost is much cheaper with some users reporting costs $15 US in India (from Allergen) or through online pharmacies for $35 for Lumigen, Allergen’s Bimatoprost.

Do you still want to pay $130 for Latisse instead of $35 for Lumigen? Well you decide :)
