24 Foods That Fight Wrinkles to Stay Young

Curtis Stone, you can cook us vegetables to help us eat away our wrinkles anytime!

What you eat can help you fight wrinkles, aging and stop acne.  Wrinkles are caused by slower regeneration of old cells and weaker skin structures as we age.    Environmental stress and damage can weaken collagen and elastin.  This process can become noticeable as early as age 25.

Food is the building blocks of your skin and supply the chemicals needed to regenerate and repair your skin naturally.    From 1989–1996, the researchers at the International Union of Nutritional Sciences Committee on Nutrition and Ageing conducted a study (Food Habits in Later Life) on the effects of food and effects on skin aging.  The study examined the diets of patients over the age of 70 all over the world from Australia, China, Greece, Japan and Sweden.   Elderly Swedish subjects had the least skin wrinkling and Australians had the most.    Wrinkling of skin was connected to eating more butter, margarine, milk products and sugar.  The more youthful subjects had consumed a higher intake of vegetables, legumes, olive oil and fish.

The conclusion of the study was that eating a healthy diet rich in key foods can help prevent wrinkles and maintaining a youthful appearance.   In particular, the list below is 24 Foods That Fight Wrinkles to Stay Young.
