Gisele Bundchen’s Top Must Have Beauty Products Organic Eye Cream

Carrie

The secret to youthful eyes is in your garden.

In the January 2009 edition of InStyle magazine, Gisele Bundchen’s top must have product is Dr. Alkaitis Organic Eye Cream, which happens to be also one of Dr. Alkaitis’ favorites.  I had the delight of trying out this eye cream.  The packaging was modern and simple.   It had an extra case for the cream, which gives the product air to breath so the ingredients are kept fresh.  Like all other products, there is an expiration date.

My Test of the Organic Eye Cream

The eye cream is very rich and emollient.  The consistency is between a cream and lotion.  It is not heavy or dripping with thick butter like consistency which some heavier eye creams sometimes feel on the skin.    The product is easily absorbed and fills out light lines around the eye.   The product claims to reduce puffiness and dark circles.  This is a great product for those that are concerned with the harsh chemicals in cosmetics and want  natural, organic, healthy alternative to many synthetic eye creams in the market.

Pros:

  • Great for the healthy minded
  • Great texture
  • Easily absorbed
  • Super high quality ingredients sourced and immaculate manufacturing process
  • Nourishing with healthy, great for you ingredients to help your skin naturally prevent wrinkles and encourage healthy skin

Cons:

  • It is a splurge product with the price at $49 for 0.5 oz. but you only use a pea size amount.  Mine has lasted many months and I haven’t made a dent into the bottle.
  • It is not heavy or has the latest in synthetic laboratory invented ingredients so if you have deep wrinkles and looking for an immediate botox like cure, this is more of a nourishing preventive product.

Here is where you can purchase: Dr. Alkaitis Organic Eye Cream.

Which Celebrity Uses the Product?

We love his altruistic intent and nature so we wanted to know more about this skincare line and their top selling eye cream which has been getting great reviews from magazines such as Allure, Marie Claire, New York Post, Vogue, Elle, InStyle and W.  Gisele Bundchen says this is her top pick for eye cream and she has beautiful eyes! In the video she is modeling for Christian Dior 2009 and still naturally stunning.  It’s obvious, she takes care of herself.

We love to try all products and bring out the essence of why it was created and who is the person behind the product.  Dr. Alkaitis is a natural line of skincare derived from holistic organic skin food.  His motto is “If you can’t eat it, don’t put it on your face”  This luxurious, natural line of skincare was created by Dr. Alkaitis.  He is a research scientist with a Ph.D. in physical chemisty who has worked on plant research, chemisty, biologist and pharmacognosist.  He really knows plants so his skincare line embodies his love for nature and the healing properties of plants.

Here are the Ingredients:

The base of the product is an organic aloe vera gel.  The following herbs are blended in: Herbal Eye Renewal Complex (Wild Rose buds, Linden blossoms, Roman Chamomile flowers, Quince, St. John’s Wort blossoms, Green Tea, Cornflowers and Mate).  Eye Rejuvenation and Support Complex (virgin cold pressed organic Jojoba, Andean Mountain Rose Hip seed and Borage oils, organic Shea butter), Vegetable Lecithin, natural vitamin A, C and E, Citrus seed extracts.

What Makes Dr. Alkaitis Different?

I dug up one of his videos on youtube and the answer is that he worries about your health in 30 years!    His love for his wife helped him create a skincare line for her that has maximum therapeutic ingredients, excluding the bad stuff: GMO, mineral oil bases, parabens, and other chemicals.  He creates the products in small batches and cares about the quality of the plants, how it was grown and harvested before they were used to make that lovely eye cream.

He is concerned about what women put on their faces every day.   Even in small trace amounts, over time, the effects of chemicals on your skin can be harmful.   His skincare line has ingredients which are friendly to the body.
